OUR PROGRAM

Our play and learn, 5 days-a-week, Spanish immersion program at Isla Esmeralda translates our 50 years of teaching and travel experiences into engaging, culturally authentic language-learning activities for students of all ages.

By design, our early summer program is the perfect transition from a long school year to the unscheduled freedom of summer. Fun is the focus as we help kids learn (and love!) Spanish in the tranquil setting of Emerald Isle.

Each morning, your child will be warmly welcomed in Spanish and immediately immersed in an enjoyable, stress-free environment. Games, crafts, art, music, cooking and sports are all involved in helping your child progress toward the objectives identified in the North Carolina World Language Essential Standards.*

Our goal is to ignite the love of language that too often is extinguished by the rote memorization and grammar-focused instruction typical of traditional teaching methods.
